Patricia Corbett was born and educated in Los Angeles, California, and is the oldest of 13 children.  Although it was her early life’s dream to be an artist, it was the art of singing that became her life’s work.

She sang professionally over the next 40 years with performances in concert, opera and television.  In 1997, Patricia began studying with Julie Gale in New Jersey.  But it was in 2005, when Patricia decided to study with her brother, Ray Carpenter, a whole new world opened up.  Mr. Carpenter is renowned for his landscape paintings which are presently being exhibited in several prestigious galleries on the west coast, one being the Carmel Masterworks Gallery.

Patricia has found her calling with the eastern scenes with their many lakes and lush multi-colored landscapes.  Ms. Corbett has been the recipient of several statewide awards in New Jersey, where she lived for 25 years before moving to Wallingford, CT.

She is being selected for national exhibits throughout and has won awards for her Merritt Parkway series of oil paintings. Ms. Corbett is an associate member Oil Painters of America and the Connecticut Plein Air Painters Society, and is presently exhibiting at the Lemon ‘n Lyme Art Gallery and the Vennetucci Gallery, Lyme Art Association (associate member) as well as the Madison Art Society.   For more information, please visit her website at: www.PatriciaLouiseCorbett.com
