Rash of Thefts from Motor Vehicles Reported in Madison: Police
Recent arrests by the Madison Police Department include burglary, assault charges in latest arrest/incident response log.

All of the information was provided by the Madison Police Department and all charges are allegations at this time.
Madison Police Arrest Log for August 17th – August 23rd
During this time period Madison police responded to a rash of reported thefts from motor vehicles, including four reported thefts from vehicles on Aug. 17 on Rolling Meadow Road; two thefts from a vehicle on Aug. 17 on Durham Road; another theft from a vehicle, two reported thefts from vehicles on Ridge Road, also on Aug. 17.

Police also responded to a motor vehicle accident, with injuries, on Aug. 21, on Interstate 95, Northbound; and a water rescue, on Aug. 22, at 1288 Boston Post Road.

Shakerra Brown, 20, of Chestnut Street, Bridgeport, charged Aug. 17 with weapons in a motor vehicle and first-degree larceny.
Diane C. Van Akin, 53, of Cohasset Lane, Madison, charged Aug. 18 with third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass, and criminal attempt/fifth-degree larceny.
Chad Olshan, 41, of Fox Run Lane, Columbia, South Carolina, charged Aug. 18 with operating unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker/registration, no insurance, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, and operating without a license.
Sophie Joel, 20, of 201 Twin Bridge Road, Madison, charged Aug. 23 with operating a motor vehicle by a minor having elevated blood alcohol level content, failure to have tail lamps.
