Remote Learning For Middle School Class After Staff Positive Test

The school district and health department "feel confident the majority of Polson Middle School can remain open for in-person instruction."

MADISON, CT — After a Polson Middle School staff member was reported positive for COVID-19 Monday, a 7th grade team was sent home and will do remote learning for the rest of the week, school officials said, and the district's case tracker shows.

According to a message to families from interim schools superintendent JeanAnn Paddyfoote, after "investigation and consultation with the affected individual," the school district and health department "feel confident the majority of Polson Middle School can remain open for in-person instruction."

Madison Public Schools' COVID-19 tracker reports active cases. Currently, there are three student cases at Daniel Hand High School, and one at Brown Intermediate School. There is one active staff member case at Jeffrey Elementary and one active staff member case at Polson.
