Resting In God with Anne Simpkinson and Mercy By The Sea Program Staff

An ongoing Centering Prayer Group

Centering Prayer comes from a rich Christian contemplative tradition. It is a method of entering Silence in order to “be still and know” God. Mercy Center will be sponsoring two ongoing Centering Prayer groups, facilitated by Anne Simpkinson and Mercy by the Sea staff. There will be a monthly group held on the first Saturday of each month (except for months where first Saturday is a Holiday, then it will be second Saturday) from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The second is a weekly group, which will meet Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES TO SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED ON WEBSITE. No prior experience with Centering Prayer is required. However, a simple, 15-minute introduction to Centering Prayer is available before each session for those who have had no previous experience. Please contact Claire Rusowicz to make arrangements crusowicz@mercybythesea.org; (203)245-0401, ext. 115.

Free will donations for these sessions are appreciated.
