Schools Report Positive COVID-19 Case At Elementary School
A "member of the Ryerson School community" has tested positive for COVID-19, schools superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke said.
MADISON, CT — Thursday school officials were told that a "member of our Ryerson Elementary School community" has tested positive for COVID-19. The person has been instructed to remain home and in isolation, schools superintendent Dr. Craig Cooke said.
In a message to families, Cooke said the school district has followed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance as it pertains to close contacts and that through contact tracing, all students and staff directly impacted by this temporary shift to remote learning have already been contacted by a school administrator and instructed to quarantine.
Cooke said that the district and health department "feel confident Ryerson Elementary School can remain open."
