Rash Of Thefts From Unlocked Vehicles In Madison: Police
Police are urging residents to lock their vehicles.

MADISON, CT – If you live, own and drive a car in Madison you better lock it up when you aren’t in it. A check of recent police reports shows there have been a series of thefts from autos in recent days.
On Nov. 30th there was a theft of auto accessories on Bradley Road; that same day there was a theft from an auto on the Boston Post Road – and two more thefts again from autos again on Bradley Road.

The very next day, Dec. 1st, there was a theft from an auto on Princess Drive, and on Dec. 2nd, once again there was a theft of auto accessories again on Bradley Road.
Two days later – on Dec. 4th – there was a theft from an auto on Genesee Lane and on the same day a theft from an auto on Field Brook Road and another theft from a motor vehicle back on the Boston Post Road.

Madison 911 Emergency Communications Center said "These cars were NOT "broken into"... rather they just opened the unlocked cars and stole valuables. If we've said it once, we've said it a hundred times....LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS!"
