Shoreline Chorale Fall Concert: "To Music!" 4pm on Saturday, November 21 at the First Congregational Church of Madison

Under new Music Director Sarah Kaufold,the Shoreline Chorale's concert "To Music!" will celebrate music with a variety of choral styles.

Featured Guest Artist, dramatic tenor Marc Deaton of Madison Lyric Stage will perform as soloist ‘Orpheus with His Lute’ by Ralph Vaughan Williams, ‘An die Musik’ by Franz Schubert, and will join the chorale in several pieces including ‘Serenade to Music’ and ‘Bonse Aba” by Andrew Fischer. Mr. Deaton has an accomplished international opera career and now heads Madison Lyric Stage which presents several opera and concert productions each year in the renovated Lyric Barn in Madison.

This will be the chorale’s inaugural performance under new Music Director Sarah Kaufold, who also serves as Minister of Music at St. Mark’s Chapel in Storrs, CT. Ms. Kaufold has an accomplished career in solo, choral, voice instruction and choral conducting performance in California, Missouri, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Accompanist Joyce Baxter also serves as Music Director at the Clinton Congregational Church.

Since its founding in 1982 by the Shoreline Arts Alliance, The Shoreline Chorale has presented choral arts in a variety of genres for the enjoyment of concert attendees and singers alike.

The Shoreline Chorale will perform “To Music” at 4pm on Saturday, November 21 at the First Congregational Church of Madison, on the Green.
