Shoreline Greenway Trail Walk In Madison Scheduled For August

The walk will be 2.5 miles roundtrip, according to organizers.

MADISON, CT — A morning walk has been scheduled for 10 a.m. on Aug. 3 along the Shoreline Greenway Trail in Madison, organizers announced.

The walk through the coastal forest is 2.5 miles roundtrip, winds past a "fascinating salt marsh," and has some modest hills. Click here for more information.

The REI water station will be open for people and dogs. Your guide will update you on the Hammonasset East trail expansion before heading out on the walk. Meet at the trail parking lot: I-95 exit 62, south to the traffic light, left on Route 1, first right into the parking lot. Families and leashed dogs welcome. Wear sturdy shoes, a hat, and bring a water bottle. In case of inclement weather, visit the website for an update. Questions call 203-318-9649.
