Showing Absolutely No Mercy To Mercy, Girls Swim Team Triumphs Again

Mercy High School proves a tough competitor, but DHHS comes out on top, 100-86.

The DHHS Girls' Swim Team triumphed with a 100-86 win against tough competitor Mercy High School at a recent swim meet at Wesleyn University.

Swimmers Carlone Wolek and Annie Kennedy won their individual events, with a 2.03.37 time in the 200 yard Freestyle event (Wolek) and a 1.08.17 in the 100 yard Butterfly event (Kennedy).

Courtney LeBlanc achieved a personal best coming in second place with a 1.18.09 time in the 100 yard Breaststroke.

The 200 yard Freestyle Relay team of Grace Hesse, Caroline Wolek, Deirdre Haren and Marissi Rossi easily won that event in 1.49.59. Diver Renata Diotalevi won the diving event with a 188 score.

In the last event of the meet, the Tigers surged to a win with a 3.54.01 time with the 400 yard Free Relay team of Caroline Wolek, Alex Wagner, Grace Hesse and Marissa Rossi, beating the strong Mercy team by a mere 1.98 seconds.
