Time to get back on your mat

It seems like everyone I've run into lately has been complaining about the winter that won't end. Aside from closing schools, making driving dangerous, and clogging supermarket aisles, it is throwing off everybody's routine. It's hard to get to yoga, or to the gym if you can't get out of your driveway and many yoga and fitness classes have been canceled due to the snow this winter. Many people have been skipping classes even after the snow has been cleared because they don't want to face the frigid temperatures. Don't feel bad if you fall into this category _ you have plenty of company. But getting back to your favorite yoga class or into your regular exercise routine can help you fight the winter blahs. Aside from the physical benefits, yoga and fitness classes provide a chance for social interaction which can help counteract the feeling of isolation some people feel during the winter. So if it's been awhile since you've been to yoga, go find your mat and come back to class.
