My friend and fellow G+er, Gibson Goff blogs frequently about success. On Sunday, August 4, 2013, he wrote Can Reality Match Your Success. You’ll have to read the column to understand what I’m about to write:
I believe it is those people you surround yourself with that make you a success or contine to challenge your life.
If you choose people who lift you up, who give your life meaning, who SHOW that they love you not simply tell you that they love you, then you’ve already reached a level of success that many people can only dream of.

You MUST surround yourself with people who already are successful if you want to reach a level of abundance yourself.

Only by seeing someone else who is a success,
Only by emulating success will you achieve the abundance you so dream of.
How do you expect to be a success if you’ve never seen it yourself?
If you don’t see how to become abundant yourself,
If you are not surrounded by people who are successful, who are abundant, then you will not become a success yourself.
We become what we are by watching others and emulating them. That’s why you see so many people who suddenly find themselves with so much, panic and reach out to the wrong people.
Someone who never knew success and finds it rather quickly,
Someone who never received abundance and suddenly has more than he knows how to handle sometimes is surrounded by people who don’t have their best interest at heart.
Look at all the athletes who suddenly come into great wealth.
Look at the musicians who find themselves in the limelight.
How many of these people make the right decisions with their sudden wealth?
It depends ENTIRELY on who is in your life, on who you surround yourself with.
Success depends more on who is in your life.
Success depends more on your friendships than how abundant you become.
You can find yourself in the great storm of immediate success. It is how you navigate the success that determines whether you stay successful. How you navigate that success is determined by who is in your life.
Choose wisely and your success will blossom exponentially.
Choose poorly and that success will whither just as exponentially.
Which decision will you make?
