1 Dead In I-384 Crash In Manchester; Witnesses Sought: Police

A person was killed when the vehicle they were riding in left the interstate and struck a tree in the center median, police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a fatal, single-car crash near Manchester early Saturday.

According to police, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Interstate 384 west of exit 2 when the driver lost control. The car went off the road into the center median, where it struck a tree, police said.

There were three people in the vehicle, authorities said. An adult passenger riding in the backseat of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and the front passenger were taken to a hospital to treat serious injuries.
