2 Arrested After Drug Task Force Raid In Manchester
A regional drug task force raided an apartment in Manchester on Friday.

MANCHESTER, CT — Two people were arrested and drugs were seized after a Friday raid in Manchester, police said.
The East Central Narcotics Task Force on Friday executed a search and seizure warrant at an apartment at 74 Imperial Drive in Manchester. Police said the investigation began after several area residents complained of drug activity in the Squire Village housing complex.
The task forced learned through the course of the investigation that a "known crack cocaine dealer," identified as 29-year-old Tyrell King, was selling from the apartment, according to a report.

At the time of the raid, King; his girlfriend, 29-year-old Kristle Watts; and a 2-year old child were present, a report indicates. About 6 grams of crack cocaine, along with packaging material, scales and other objects associated with "illicit drug sales" were seized, according to a report.
King was charged with:

- Possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a school
- Drug possession of within 1,500 feet of a school

Watts was charged with:

- Possession of cocaine
