3 Manchester-Based Teams Set For Girls Basketball Tournaments

MANCHESTER, CT — The road to Mohegan Sun starts Monday and Tuesday, as Manchester, East Catholic, Cheney Tech and 127 other high school girls basketball teams begin their quests for state championships in the CIAC tournaments.

Manchester (9-11) is seeded 28th in Class LL, and will travel to No. 5 Hall (17-3) Monday at 7 p.m.

East Catholic (10-10), the No. 27 seed in Class M, visits No. 6 Rocky Hill (16-4), also Monday at 7 p.m.

No. 12 Cheney Tech (14-6) hosts a Class S first round game against No. 21 Windham (10-10) Tuesday at 7 p.m.
