'9 p.m. Routine' Leads To Fewer Car Burglaries in Manchester
The '9 p.m. Routine' seems to be working in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — The "9 p.m. Routine" seems to be working in Manchester with a reduction in vehiclular burglaries.
Manchester police on Tuesday said there has been a 34 percent reduction in reported thefts involving motor vehicles since the campaign began in late August versus a period three weeks prior.
In Late August, the cops took to social media to promote what has been dubbed "The 9 p.m. Routine" in an effort to thwart car thefts and burglaries. The campaign features creative and light-hearted memes as part of a nationwide effort to urge folks to lock their vehicles before turning in for the night.

"The Manchester Police Department would like to thank everyone for your efforts in making the #9PMROUTINE a part of your evenings. Your help in ensuring your vehicles are locked, your keys are taken, and your belongings are hidden has certainly had a positive impact," police said.
Manchester police have posted several public service announcements on Facebook recently promoting "The 9 p.m. Routine."
