MANCHESTER, CT — Ownership of the Adams Mill restaurant property will officially change hands in the beginning of May, but the current owners said Tuesday they were unsure just what the new restaurant will look like.

It will, however, likely remain a restaurant or even a pub, said Deb Scarpace, who operates Adams Mill with her husband, Tony.

The Scarpaces announced over the weekend that the popular restaurant in Manchester that served as a culinary landmark for 37 years is closing its doors. Deb Scarpace said Tuesday that the April 28 brunch is still on track to be the last meal served.

The new ownership team, Eli Restaurant Group, will close on the converted factory at 165 Adams St. on May 1, she said.

Deb Scarpace said she is not in the frame of mind to fully retire and would likely stay in the banquet business. Tony Scarpace will stay close to the Adams Mill property over the short term and assist with the transition, she said.
