The Opening Ceremony starts with traditional lion dance and dragon dance followed by kung fu and tai chi by masters and schools from around the world, plus by classical Chinese dance and music.
One of the biggest performances will be Grandmaster Chung from California and his famous demonstration of the power of kung fu in which he breaks a bamboo pole suspended by two pieces of paper with a wooden sword without tearing the paper.
Performers from New England, San Francisco, Chicago, and as far away as China will also be there to wow spectators with their skills.

Julian Sanchez-Ayala, a Willimantic resident, became a fugitive from justice after missing court in April. After being released on bail on mostly misdemeanor charges, Julian failed to appear in court, which immediately forfeited the bond. Consequently, a re-arrest warrant was issued on April 15th by the Norwich Superior Court, and a month later, he missed court again on another case out of Danielson.Bail's sole purpose is to ensure defendants return to court if they miss court. 3-D Bail Bonds fulfilled that responsibility by helping ensure accountability and uphold the integrity of the judicial process through the contracting services of the Fugitive Recovery Agency, Inc.

Fugitive Recovery Agency, Inc. was aware of another outstanding hard-copy warrant for Sanchez-Ayala with a slew of charges, including illegal possession of firearms among other felony charges, which changed the approach toward the investigation. While Sanchez-Ayala was released on bail accused of misdemeanor charges, he was on the run, actively hiding from a few police departments, including Eastern University and Stonington Police.

Once evidence suggested that Julian was at an address in Manchester, FRA moved to apprehend him on Sunday, October 11. Agents followed protocol, secured the perimeter, and searched the house until they found him. He was hiding in the attic. After a calm conversation and exchange of expectations, he agreed to surrender.

The risks faced by a Fugitive Recovery Agent during searches for individuals known to possess firearms are substantial. These professionals not only put themselves in harm's way, as they may be attacked and injured, but they also encounter rapidly changing situations. If frightened fugitives become combative and attempt to escape, the circumstances can shift dramatically in mere seconds.

This is why reasonable bail works. When defendants are released on secured bail, they are held accountable by the bail bond agency. They provide freedom to those incarcerated, under one main requirement: they must appear in court every time a judge requests it or until the case ends.
Fugitive Recovery Agents or Bail Enforcement Agents (BEAs) have the authority to arrest across city and state lines but are strictly limited to apprehending specific "bail fugitives." They cannot arrest random bystanders. At the closing of this article, defendant Julian Sanchez Ayala remains incarcerated and is held on over $ 1.2 million in bail on combined felony and misdemeanor charges. This contribution was edited by Samuel Menzie, 3-D Bail Bonds Intern.

I was on the sidewalk, waiting for my son‘s bus to come drop him off. My back was turned because I was looking up the street. I turned around only to come face-to-face with a young man on the sidewalk with his E bike. He was doing at least 15 miles an hour. And although that doesn’t seem very fast, had I stepped to my left and turned around it would’ve been catastrophic for me. I was too stunned by the gravity of it all to say anything. At least he had on his helmet, but can you imagine what would’ve happened to me had we connected. Hoping for legislation to prevent folks from riding these motorbikes on public sidewalks.

Stronger E-bike legislation needed
