CT Yankee National Party to Hold 2026 Nominating Convention

Pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes Sec. 9-452a, as Chair of the Connecticut Yankee National Party (YNP) chapter, Jason Cramer has provided notice of a Yankee National Party nominating convention to the Secretary of the State’s Office. The Nominating Convention is to be held:

Date: Monday, August 31, 2026

Time: 6:00 P.M.

Location: Virtual, via Zoom

Purpose: Nominate Yankee National Party candidate(s) for State Representative in the 12th District.

The Nominating Convention will begin promptly at 6:00 PM and be followed by the Party’s regular weekly meeting. Nominations shall be accepted from the floor. Anyone who meets the requirements of membership as defined by the rules of the Connecticut Yankee National Party and is present at the meeting is eligible to vote. The nominee(s) shall be elected by Ranked Choice Voting where they must receive a simple majority of the final vote tallies. “None of the Above” will be included as a ballot choice in the candidate selection process. Deena Steinberg, the only challenger for State Representative in the 12th State House district (Manchester) against the multi-decade incumbent, has successfully petitioned for ballot access with the YNP and will seek official endorsement at this Convention. Learn more at yankeenp.org/deena.
