Confidence Starts Here: Free Self-Defense Seminar

Manchester, CT - In honor of Women’s History Month, The Academy of Martial Arts & Personal Development will be hosting a Free Women’s Self-Defense Seminar on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Would you or someone you know like to feel more confident and prepared in everyday situations? This seminar is designed to provide basic, practical self-defense knowledge in a supportive and welcoming environment. The goal is to help participants gain awareness, confidence, and simple strategies that can be used if self-defense ever becomes necessary.
The seminar will cover:

• Basic personal safety awareness
• Five key self-defense target areas
• Self-defense demonstrations
• Beginner-friendly techniques that are easy to learn and remember

No prior experience is required. The techniques taught do not rely on strength or athletic ability, making this seminar accessible to participants of all fitness levels. The event is open to individuals ages 15 and up.

We understand that attending a self-defense seminar can feel intimidating, so participants are encouraged to bring a friend, family member, co-worker, or neighbor to share the experience together. Please wear comfortable clothing and plan to arrive by 6:45 PM.
