Crab Leg Dispute Leads to Arrests in Manchester
A man and woman from Windsor were arrested after an altercation at a buffet restaurant in Manchester Saturday night.
MANCHESTER, CT - A dispute over some crab legs at a Manchester buffet restaurant led to the arrests of two people Saturday night.
Around 8 p.m., Manchester police responded to the Royal Buffet at 410 West Middle Turnpike for a disturbance which had escalated into a physical altercation, Capt. Christopher Davis said in a written statement.
During the melee, the complainant’s 21-year-old son suffered a cut lip and broken front tooth. It was also reported that the complainant utilized pepper spray during the altercation in an attempt to keep her son from being assaulted further, Davis said.

Clifford Knight, 45, of 780 Park Ave., Windsor, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. He was released on a $5,000 nonsurety bond.
Lataya Knight, 38, of the same address, was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree threatening, and was released on a $2,500 nonsurety bond.

The relationship between the Knights was not disclosed.
They are both scheduled to appear April 14 in Manchester Superior Court.
