Cyclist Seriously Injured In Collision With Car In Manchester
A car and bicycle collided in Manchester Wednesday.

MANCHESTER, CT — A cyclist was seriously hurt Wednesday when his bicycle collided with a car in the Buckland Hills section of Manchester, police said.
The crash took place at 3:40 p.m. in the area of the Interstate 84 overpass near Burr Corners, police said.
Responders found the cyclist, a 62-year-old from Manchester, at the scene with serious, life-threatening injuries, police said. Emergency medical care was given to him art the scene and he was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, according to police.

A preliminary report indicates the car had been traveling eastbound on Tolland Turnpike at the time of
collision and was being driven by a 39-year-old Manchester man. He was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
