Driver Identified in Fatal Manchester Motorcycle Crash
The driver in a fatal Manchester motorcycle crash has been identified.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police on Thursday identified the motorcycle rider killed in a weekend crash as a local man.
The operator of the motorcycle was Thomas Tortora, 44, of Manchester, police said.
The accident remains under investigation, but preliminary indications are that speed was a factor, police said.

At 4:12 p.m. Saturday, Manchester police responded to a collision near 267 Highland St. A a motorcycle had been traveling east on Highland Street at a high rate of speed and appeared to have hit a guardrail, according to a report.
Tortora was thrown from the motorcycle, according to a report. Medics arrived at the scene a short time later and pronounced him deceased, according to a report.
