Government 101: The Town of Manchester’s Neighborhood Academy is now accepting registration for the Government 101 Program scheduled to begin September 8, 2011. Manchester Government 101 is an exciting series of classes taught by Manchester City Leaders. Academy participants will get an inside look at the municipal operations covering everything from public safety to public libraries. The course features a lively blend of demonstrations, presentations and tours, all conducted in a casual format at numerous sites throughout the Town. Participants can expect to come away with an understanding of how to get involved in local affairs. This course is free to youth and adults who live or work in Manchester. Participants can also choose from a variety of other programs which include financial literacy, leadership development and youth voice. Additional courses and workshops will be offered during the 2011-2012 program year.
