Summer Intensive for Teens Audition at dancEnlight

dancEnlight is a nonprofit multi-cultural professional modern dance company led by artistic director Lorelei Chang and is currently in residence at the Connecticut Concert Ballet. Lorelei has designed the Summer Intensive program with a refreshing and innovative approach, combining both Western and Eastern philosophy and introducing different disciplines and art forms such as Chinese Dance, Kathak Dance Technique and Qigong, along with Modern Dance Technique.

The dancEnlight Summer Intensive for Teens will accept a limited enrollment of aspiring dancers ages 13-19.  Admittance is by audition.  Through participation in the two week intensive program and end of session performance, one apprentice & one dancer will be selected for the dance company’s upcoming 2012-2013 year.

The applicant must provide a registration form (available at www.dancenlight.org under Summer Intensive).  Dancers will be informed at the end of audition if they are accepted.  Students who are not accepted will receive a full refund. Summer Intensive placements are also available for Youth ages 6-12, Adults and Professionals, no audition is required. Early registration discounts are available if received before May 1.
