Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra

Yulianna Avdeeva, piano

When Chopin gave the premiere of his Piano Concerto No. 2 in the first public concert of his own music in Warsaw in 1830, he was immediately acclaimed a national hero. And it’s no wonder. You can expect nothing less than an eloquent and exuberant performance of the same concerto by Russian pianist Yulianna Avdeeva, winner of First Prize of the 16th International Chopin Piano Competition (Warsaw, 2010).

Renowned Polish conductor Antoni Wit will then lead Poland’s leading orchestra in DvoÅ™ák’s tuneful and sunny Symphony No. 8, which is nearest in spirit to his colorful Slavonic Dances.
