MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police are looking for a man who reportedly attacked a FedEx driver late last week and made off with a package.

Manchester police on Monday released details of the Feb. 23 incident.

At 5 p.m. that day, officers responded to a residence on Lydall Street for a reported package theft. They were met by a FedEx driver who said he was attacked by a man while approaching the residence with a package.

The driver said that a man exited the passenger side of a gray Acura sedan with a temporary registration plate and approached him, according to an incident report. The FedEx driver scuffled with the man before being punched in the head, police said. The assailant then gabbed a package and fled on foot, according to an incident report.

The FedEx driver described the assailant as a "light-skinned" Black male in his 20s, and said the vehicle sped off in the
direction the assailant ran.

The FedEx driver sustained minor injuries during the incident, police said.
