Free Concert: Cellist Sergey Antonov to Perform in Manchester

Join the Friends of Music at Emanuel for an evening of cello and piano.

On Saturday, May 2, at 7 p.m., Sergey Antonov (cello) and Ilya Kazantsev (piano) will perform at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 60 Church Street, Manchester. They have given recitals throughout the U. S., Europe and Japan.

Hailed by the legendary Mstislav Rostropovich as a “brilliant cellist,” Sergey Antonov, in 2007, became one of the youngest cellists awarded a gold medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition.

He has appeared with the Moscow Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra and many others.
