High Bond Posted In Manchester Kidnapping Case

A defendant in a Manchester kidnapping and sexual assault case has posted a high bond.

MANCHESTER, CT — A man charged with both first-degree kidnapping and first-degree sexual assault after a wanted poster was circulated this week posted a $250,000 bond and is due back in court next month, judicial system records show.

Manchester police distributed a wanted poster for 31-year-old Miguel Hernandez Wednesday and he was located and arrested that same day.

The investigation began on Jan. 25, police said.

He has been charged with:

  • First-degree sexual assault
  • First-degree kidnapping
  • First-degree unlawful restraint
  • Risk of injury to a child

All are considered felonies in Connecticut.

He is due back before a judge on Feb. 27, records show.
