Hindu Leader Applauds Goat Yoga Reversal in Manchester

Goat Yoga is now officially approved for a Manchester farm.

MANCHESTER, CT — A major spokesman for the U.S. Hindu community, who last month urged Manchester officials not shut down goat yoga operations at a local farm, is now commending local officials for reversing a zoning enforcement officer's decision.

The Manchester Zoning Boards of Appeals on Wednesday night voted 4-1 to overturn a zoning enforcement officer's July 26 cease-and-desist order against Aussakita Acres Farm on Lydall Street. The initial ruling was that goat yoga, an activity ion which goats interact with yoga class members, was not an appropriate use in a "rural residence" zone. The farm had appealed and was granted a waiver. The ZBA then ruled it is a conforming use.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed had earlier wondered in a news release that. while many cities in USA were "offering free yoga classes in their parks, Manchester seemed to be discouraging multi-benefit yoga by pushing unnecessary and burdensome regulations."
