Hoop Courts, Track, Among Reopenings In Manchester
Manchester's Phase 2 openings include basketball courts, the track and fitness programs.

MANCHESTER, CT — Pickup basketball and track running are slated to return to Manchester's public parks and Manchester High School respectively next week.
Town officials said that most "public park amenities," with the exception of playscapes, will begin reopening for public use on June 22.
That means the MHS track will be open and basketball rims will be put back on backboards at public courts.

Officials suggested that hoop players attempt to defend while still maintaining social distancing. Runners should attempt to use proper spacing on the track, they added.
Indoor adult fitness programs have been moved outdoors. Adult fitness classes are now slated for Carlin Field at Mt. Nebo Park on Spring Street. Each class will practice the recommended 6 feet of social distancing and programs will be staggered for safety, officials said.
