How Manchester-Based High School Teams Are Faring This Fall
Three teams have already qualified for CIAC tournament play, with six others still in contention for postseason spots.

MANCHESTER, CT β As the fall sports regular season begins to enter the homestretch, anticipation is building at Manchester, East Catholic and Howell Cheney Technical high schools toward the goal of qualifying for CIAC tournament competition.
Two teams from Cheney Tech and one from East Catholic have already locked up postseason berths. Six other squads are still in contention for tournament spots.
Here is a look at the records for Manchester, East Catholic and Cheney Tech varsity teams through Oct. 15. Teams listed in bold print have already clinched a tournament spot; the number in parentheses signifies the number of regular season games remaining. (NOTE: the CIAC does not post team records for boys cross country, girls cross country or girls swimming on its web site).
