Husky Hoops Ticket Bought In Manchester By Hartford Resident Pays Off

The ticket, purchased on Wednesday, earned the maximum payout.

MANCHESTER/HARTFORD, CT — Husky basketball is paying off big time emotionally for fans of the Huskies, as both basketball squads are enjoying good seasons.

But for one Hartford resident playing a lottery ticket purchased in Manchester Wednesday, Feb. 14, a scratch-off game named in tribute to the University of Connecticut Huskies paid off financially.

The Connecticut Lottery Corp. said the unidentified Hartford resident won $50,000 playing the Husky Hoops scratch-off game that was purchased at a Manchester convenience store.

Lottery officials said the winning ticket was purchased at the Z Mart of Oakland store, 460 Oakland St., Manchester.

The games costs $5 to play and the maximum payout is $50,000, making this a very sound investment for the winner.
