LETTER: Melanie Stefanovicz Running for Manchester School Board
Letters are strictly the opinion of the author, and do not necessarily reflect the views of Manchester Patch.

Hi, my name is Melanie Stefanovicz and I’m excited to be a first-time candidate for the Manchester Board of Education!
I am running for Board of Education because I care about our children and families, I care about educators, and I care about the future of Manchester Public Schools. My driving motivation is that Board Members have the opportunity to truly make positive affects in education and improve opportunities for all of our children. Manchester’s strength, and our town’s prosperity, depends on it.
To increase student achievement, I support a three-pronged approach:

- Strategic use of data: Use the expanding amount of district data and metrics to identify and address achievement challenges and affect change.
- Positive School Climate: A positive and safe learning and teaching environment is essential to learning. I fully support the efforts of the district to increase positive climate, especially around student’s physical and emotional safety.

- Family & Community Engagement: I fully support programs to enhance family/community partnerships with schools. Promoting two-way communication, connection and collaboration of resources is proven to increase student success.
I look forward to bringing the perspective of a stay-at-home mom with elementary age school children, a degree is in Business Administration and professional experience in Financial Project Management. I am passionate about thoroughly understanding and addressing the challenges our community faces and providing clear, concise communication to our community.
I look forward to your support and your vote on November 3rd.
Thank you.
