Man Charged In Armed Manchester Incident Makes $350,000 Bail
A man who fled a Manchester home after wielding a gun was charged over the weekend.

MANCHESTER, CT — The search for a man involved in an armed incident in Manchester last week did nit take long to resolve.
Manchester police over the weekend said the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Andrew Davis of Bristol, had surrendered at the local department. Davis has been charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree threatening.
Davis posted a court-set bond of $350,000 and was to appear In Manchester Superior Court Monday, records show.

Davis had an active warrant out of Bristol and was promptly turned over to Bristol police after being charged in Manchester.
Early on Sept. 28, Manchester police Department responded to a report of an active disturbance at 28 Woodbridge St. A woman who had called 911 said Davis was in the house with a gun. She managed to escape and informed police that both a man and children were still in the home.

Police guided them out of the dwelling and called in a SWAT team as a precaution. Davis, however, was able to flee the home while the man and children were escaping, police said. Davis surrendered when he learned of the warrant, police said.
Police released an accompanying statement:
"The Manchester Police Department would like to extend its appreciation to the community for their cooperation and assistance in this matter. We remain dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our residents and will continue to work diligently to uphold the law."
