Manchester 2021 Election Results: The Numbers Are In

MANCHESTER, CT — The results are in for Manchester's 2021 municipal election.

Results were posted Wednesday afternoon by the office of Secretary of the State Denise Merrill. A problem with a third-party vendor which manages election information for the secretary's website has prevented results from being displayed.

The ballot question at the top of the ticket passed 6,459 to 1,660.

The question read:

SHALL THE TOWN OF MANCHESTER APPROPRIATE $17,250,000 TO CAPITAL ACCOUNTS FOR THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING THE COSTS OF RECONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR OF VARIOUS TOWN ROADS, ROADSIDE ELEMENTS, SIDEWALKS, REPAIRS TO UNION POND DAM, AND AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE TOWN OR NOTES IN ANTICIPATION OF SUCH BONDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $17,250,000 TO FINANCE SAID APPROPRIATION?
