Manchester Cops Investigating Charter Oak Area Shooting Incidents

MANCHESTER, CT — Shots were fired in the Charter Oak section of Manchester early Tuesday, police said.

At about 12:06 a.m. Tuesday, Manchester officers responded to the area of 104 Charter Oak Street for a report of shots fired. The caller told police that someone fired multiple rounds from a gold Chevrolet Impala, which fled the area west on Charter Oak Street afterward, according to a police report.

Responding officers discovered evidence of the shooting and a canvass of the immediate area confirmed there were no injuries as a result of this shooting, police said.

The Impala turned onto Interstate 384 from Charter Oak Street and additional rounds were fired while the vehicle was on the entry ramp, police said.

A report indicates that multiple shell casings were found on the I-384 ramp.
