Manchester, East Catholic Athletes Succeed at State Track Meets
The Class M and LL track and field championships were held Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, at Willow Brook Park in New Britain.

NEW BRITAIN, CT — Several athletes from Manchester High School turned in placewinning performances, including three individual champions, at the Class LL track and field championships Wednesday at Willow Brook Park.
Jevin Frett won the 400 meters, Joe Pearl captured the 800 meters and Nathan Quaye prevailed in the shot put to lead the Indians to a tie for second in team competition. Seven other MHS boys earned points by placing in the top eight,as did a pair of girls.
East Catholic had two placewinners in the Class M boys championships Tuesday, also at Willow Brook Park.
