Elected: Director - Board of Directors- since 2015

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

The Town of Manchester, under Democratic leadership, has been a leader in the Greater Hartford region in terms of creating a community that welcomes, affirms, and cares for ALL.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

I am seeking a 5th term to address the issue of ensuring that ALL members of our community can show up in all places and spaces as their whole selves through continuing to advocate for more accessible spaces, and ensuring town staff and departments are prioritizing resources and programs for historically marginalized groups.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

The Democrats on the Board of Directors have consistently put forward a vision for a safe, inclusive community that celebrates its diversity and lifts residents up whether through programming or budgeting. At various times, members of the Republican Party on the Board have not offered a vision, have voted against initiatives to improve the community, voted against a budget, including one that funds first responders, and have done all this without providing alternatives. The Democrats are forthright in our service and willing to listen to other perspectives.

If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?

N/A

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

The Democrats intend to continue to manage the budget with a balance between continuing to invest in infrastructure and programs while keeping our tax rate in check.
