The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
The most immediate issue is the response and recovery from the pandemic. The town needs to ensure that residents have the services they need while businesses have an environment where they can be successful. I plan to work with the community and advocate for the use of funds from the federal government responsibly to aid the recovery effort while not adding to future tax burdens.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
I believe I bring an effective combination of town government experience through my terms on the Board of Education and the Board of Directors while also having private business experience operating and owning small business in town. I also bring a bi-partisan, practical and cooperative approach to the Board that I believe is needed. Board members need to work together for our residents, and not just act as opposition to the other political party.
Accomplishments:
My experience and voting record over the course of my time in elected office shows my ability to think critically and vote in the best interest of Manchester and all its residents. My proudest accomplishment this past term is working to establish the Veterans Advisory Committee which will act as a valuable resource and advocate for Manchester's Veterans.
Other issues:
I will work to strengthen Manchester's economy, to ensure that Manchester remains safe and affordable for all its residents, to continue the redevelopment work on Broad St, and to promote moving forward with plans for a new library and to make sure Manchester's students are set up for success with a high quality education.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I believe in a bi-partisan, practical approach to local government that acts in the best interest of all its residents. I believe in fiscally responsible budgets that protect essential services such as police, and fire while keeping taxes low and the town affordable for its residents.
