Manchester Finds Deodorant System for Stinky Landfill
A new system for landfill odor is to be worked on starting this fall, officials said.

MANCHESTER, CT — Town officials have a plan to freshen up Manchester's often-stinky landfill.
A recently announced plan calls for 24 collection wells to be built for a system designed to bleed and burn off the hydrogen sulfide gas that most people relate to a rotten egg stench.
Construction is slated to start in the fall and last through the winter, officials said.
