Manchester Highway Stretch Used To Show Speeds Troopers Encounter
State police Thursday showed how a car was caught doing 101 mph on a section of highway in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — A stretch of highway in Manchester is being used by Connecticut State Police to illustrate some of the speeds troopers have seen these days.
The post emerged on the CSP Twitter page Thursday.
The car in question was recently caught by a trooper doing 101 mph along a portion of Interstate 384 in Manchester. A "specialized laser tool" utilized by the state police Traffic Services Unit not only recorded the speed, but even collected am image of the car.

"What’s the rush?" state police uttered rhetorically. "The heavy footed gas pedal of this vehicle was clocked at 101 miles per hour on I-384 in Manchester. Please, slow down, have enough time to arrive safely at your destination."
The lasers are used as part of specialized traffic enforcement details, state police said.
