Manchester Non-Profit Builds Dream Homes for Returning Soldiers

This “Chicken Soup For The Soul Moment” brings you a story of community and making dreams come true. Like many returning soldiers, when Sandra Lee returned home after military action in the Middle East, she experienced difficulty assimilating backing into normal life. Upon her arrival, she was connected to Purple Heart Homes, a non profit charity who builds homes for returning war veterans. The organization found a home foreclosure, purchased the house and the community of Manchester, CT pitched in to perform the demolition and reward Sandra for her service by building her the house of her dreams.
