Manchester Obituary: Albert Fyler, 75

Albert Alexander Fyler, 75, of Ashford, died on Saturday, March 24, 2018 after a short illness.

Al was the son of the late Harold and Stella Fyler. He grew up in the “north end” of Manchester. Al enjoyed his house, the lake, spending time with family, friends, and traveling. Al was part owner of Precision Die-cutting in Manchester prior to retiring.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his daughter, Jill Hess and brother William (Winky) Fyler. Al leaves behind his partner of 26 years, Janice Dabate of Manchester and her daughter, Laurie Gardner; his sons Scott Fyler and his wife Christine of Manchester, Mark Fyler and his wife Keisha of Greensboro, NC, a brother, Richard Fyler and his wife Theresa of NH. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren, Jacqueline, Silas, Jillian, Anson and a step granddaughter, Ashley, along with his Aunt Alice, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the Lake Chaffee Association, P.O. Box 231, Ashford, CT 06278.

Al’s family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Manchester Funeral Home (formerly Watkins) 142 East Center Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be private.
