
Catherine M. Bernice Dailey, 98, of Manchester, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the US Naval Home, Gulfport, MS.
Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine Dailey. Catherine was a graduate of St. James School, Manchester High School and George Washington University. She was a retired Lieutenant in the US Navy retiring after 37 years of service, having served in World War II and Korea. Catherine was a member of the Navy WAVES, the Reserve Officers Association and the US Navy League.
She is survived by her sister Alice D’Attillio of East Hartford, her friend at the Naval Home Stanley Sagara and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Eleanor Dailey Wandzy, Agnes E. Dailey, James Dailey and Maurice Dailey.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 20th, at 9:30 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home 219 West Center St. Manchester with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Church 896 Main St. Manchester followed by burial in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
