
Robert “Bob” Lanz, 90, of Manchester, died Thursday, October 26, 2017.
He was born in Rockville on July 14, 1927 to the late Ernest A. and Elizabeth (Mueller) Lanz. Ernest served in the US Army during WWII. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Bob retired from New Britain Machine. He was a member of the Elks Club in Manchester, was a passionate reader and loved to learn.
Robert is survived by his sister Evelyn Luginbuhl and her husband Rudy of Ellington, his nieces and nephews; Peggy Bernier and her husband Kenneth of Eastford, Judith Stoller and her husband Lester of Middlebury, IN, David R. Luginbuhl and his wife Lynne of Ellington and Donna Person and her husband Peter of Stafford, his great nieces and nephes; Ivy, Justin, Kari, Nathaniel, Jonathan, Eric, Aron, Emily, Hannah and Anneliese.

Relatives and friends may join the family on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 4 – 6 pm at Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville. A Funeral Home Service will take place Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Ellington Center Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Bob’s name may be made to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, 555 Long Wharf Dr., New Haven,CT 06511.
