Manchester Police Cruiser On Call Collides With Civilian Vehicle
An officer was hurt when a police cruiser collided with another vehicle en route to a call Thursday, a report shows.

MANCHESTER, CT — A police cruiser en route to a call collided with a civilian vehicle Thursday morning in Manchester.
At 7:14 a.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to an active disturbance call, and due to the nature of the incident, a responding officer had the marked cruiser's lights and sirens activated, according to an incident report.
The cruiser was traveling south on Main Street with its light and siren still on in the area of Pearl Street when a civilian vehicle abruptly turned left in front of the cruiser, according to an incident report.

The vehicles collided and, after the initial impact, the cruiser hit an unoccupied parked vehicle and came to rest on the Salvation Army property on Main Street, according to an incident report.
The officer reported minor injuries and was evaluated at a local hospital, and the civilian driver reported no injuries, according to an incident report.
