β€œIt is going to be another great race, with some of the world’s best distance runners competing,” said Dr. Tris Carta, president of the Manchester Road Race Committee. β€œWe’re hoping that everyone who wants to join in the fun this Thanksgiving will officially enter and fill out their registration on the website as soon as possible.”

Carta added that the entry fee is used to defray the costs of the event and to donate the remaining proceeds to a number of charities. The Manchester Road Race Committee distributed $75,000 after last year’s run to 15 charities or non-profit organizations, including the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Muscular Dystrophy research has been a pet project of the Manchester Road Race since the early 1950s.
