Manchester Store Owner Charged In Teen THC-For-Sex Investigation

A Manchester store owner is facing two charges in a sexual assault case, police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — The owner of a Manchester convenience store is accused of soliciting sexual favors from teens in exchange for THC and tobacco vape pens, police said.

In April, the Manchester Police Department Child Investigations Unit received a tip that Muhammed Adrees, 40, was approaching "high school-aged students" with the offers, according to an arrest report. Adrees is the owner of the Manchester Mini Mart at 352 Main St. in Manchester, police said.

After an "extensive investigation and identification of multiple victims," an arrest warrant was issued for Adrees and he surrendered Friday at the Manchester Police Department, according tp the arrest report.

Adrees has been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault (two counts) and risk of injury to a child (two counts), records show. Adrees was released after posting a court-set $100,000 cash/surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on June 17, records show.
