Manchester Students Awarded MCC President's Scholarships
The Manchester Community College Foundation has awarded 11 high school seniors aid through the newly instituted President's Scholarship.

MANCHESTER, CT – The Manchester Community College Foundation has awarded 11 high school seniors aid through the newly instituted President’s Scholarship program.
The MCC President’s Scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors at participating high schools within MCC’s primary or secondary service areas. The award covers the student’s tuition and fees for the fall semester. In addition, a $300 book scholarship will be provided for each recipient at the beginning of the semester. Students must be recommended for the award by their high school counselors.
Camille Geathers, a counselor at Great Path Academy in Manchester, recommended two students who received awards.

“This scholarship opens doors for students who want to continue on to higher education,” Geathers said. “For example, Matthew Martin wants to continue his education in culinary arts as well as business, and this scholarship will help him achieve this goal.”

The MCC Foundation annually awards hundreds students scholarships. Students attending MCC in the fall can apply for a tuition assistance scholarship through the MCC Foundation — www.manchestercc.edu/scholarships.
