Manchester Police Department will be on site directing traffic during the repairs, according to the alert. That traffic control is intended to help move vehicles through the intersections while signal work is underway.

Drivers traveling through downtown Manchester should expect delays and use caution when approaching the work zone. The alert does not list any detours or road closures, but motorists may want to allow extra time if their route includes Main Street near Maple Street or Forest Street.

The repair work involves two closely spaced intersections on Main Street, an area that can see steady local traffic during the morning hours. With police directing vehicles by hand while contractors work on the signals, drivers should be prepared for changing traffic patterns and possible backups.
